You missed me.
No need to admit it. I already know.
So I’m all moved in and finally, FINALLY settled enough to get my knit on. One of the first things I did here in my new digs was run out to IKEA for three bookshelves – two for books and one for yarn. Yarn shelves!
This makes me feel immensely better about my stash. It doesn’t look so bad when it’s tucked into cubbies like so. The two leftmost cubbies are sweaters that I rescued from thrift stores. I’m really excited about the Christmas red cashmere. Oh my!
I’m also gearing up for my first real post-move project, the gorgeous Pomme de Pin Cardigan by Amy Christoffers.
Love. LOVE! LOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
I’ve been obsessing over this sweater for a couple months now. I wants it, the precious!
But I was mid move – bad timing to say the least. And I needed to find the perfect yarn for The Precious, not an easy thing, but I think I done good with the Malabrigo Arroyo in Coffee Toffee.
I love all of the shades of brown. It looks so much like the guts of a Milky Way that I almost want to lick it. Almost.
When the Coffee Toffee yarn showed up yesterday, I was so excited to jump right in with a cast on! But hey, remember a few months ago when my Size 4 acrylic interchangeables snapped in half? Yeah. Apparently that’s the one I need to get started, and I hadn’t quite gotten around to replacing them yet.
Sigh. Well then.
But I did order replacements last night – nickel plated this time. They should be a wee bit sturdier, I think. But the waiting for them to arrive? AGONY.
